Cadillac Mining Corporation is a junior resource exploration and development company, based in Vancouver Canada, focused on large-scale precious metal projects in geologically and politically favourable jurisdictions, where history has previously demonstrated strong potential.
The Company's long term objective is the discovery of a major deposit through carefully planned exploration. Its strategy is to identify and develop exceptional prospects, and in doing so, provide its shareholders with the potential for high return.
Target selection focuses on under-explored and/or undervalued projects offering exceptional potential returns for modest initial investment, particularly through the application of fresh concepts. Where prospects have been inactive for some time, or have seen inadequate exploration for reasons ranging from depressed metal prices to adverse political conditions, the Company will utilize recent advances in data management and deposit modeling in the re-evaluation and further exploration of such prospects.
At this time Cadillac holds two large properties, the Goldstrike project in the western USA in southwestern Utah in the Great Basin, and the Break project in western Quebec in the Abitibi geological province. The Goldstrike project, which has seen historical production of more than 200,000 oz gold, is currently the Company's primary focus. Detailed re-appraisal of a virtual library of historical data, and a limited drilling campaign, have served to identify two distinct styles of Carlin-type mineralization, of which only one has been previously exploited. Currently ten targets are at or near the drill-ready stage. Much of the Break project has been farmed-out, but Cadillac has retained outright the Wasa claims which border a resource of some 3.0 million ounces of gold.
Cadillac Mining provides shareholders access to a wealth of exploration experience, and dedicated management. The Company's core management and technical team are mining professionals with extensive domestic and international experience in all aspects of mineral exploration, operations and venture capital markets. Collectively they hold more than 30% of the Company's outstanding capital, which currently is about 32 million common shares.
The Company is listed for trading on Tier 2 of the TSX Venture Exchange, symbol CQX.
